Dave has enjoyed a more than 30 year career as a composer, producer, guitarist and songwriter. He was composing original music for television before even completing his music degree at NYU. Over the next several years he worked with top ad agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, Euro RSCG, BBDO, McCann, and scored TV spots for international brands including American Express, Miller Beer, Maxwell House, Land Rover, Delta, Jaguar, NASDAQ, NBA, while receiving several awards for his work, including Addy’s and New York Festivals Medals. Dave has also scored numerous documentaries and independent films as well as corporate films for large brands like Sony and SAP.
Being part of the New York music scene provided regular opportunities to work with some of the greatest musicians, engineers and producers of our time, including folks like Mark Egan & Danny Gottleib (Pat Metheny Group), Steve Gadd, Randy Brecker, Shawn Pelton & Robby Condor (SNL), as Dave developed a solid reputation as a versatile composer and guitarist. In the last several years Dave has refocused his energy towards his passion for the guitar, song writing, performing and producing records. His 2013 record Hold On with daughter Emma, reached near the top 100 of the AMA charts and received glowing reviews in the americana and bluegrass world.
Dave began his music career at the age of 10 as a soloist in professional choirs, highlighted by his acceptance to the New York City Opera Children’s Choir. At the same time Dave began to study guitar and went on to pursue guitar as his major in college. He attended Syracuse University for two years and studied classical and jazz guitar performance under guitarist Carlo Manobianco. And completed his music degree at NYU. As an adjunct professor Dave has taught classes in Song Writing, Digital Music Technology, Pro Tools and Studio Recording.
